The existing basement had many challenges including furnace/ductwork issues, plumbing issues, and structural issues. The stair location also needed to be moved.
The existing stairway was to be framed in. The existing ductwork also was removed and rerouted along with lots of plumbing and electrical lines.
The wall between the existing living room and office was to be removed. The new stairs to the basement will be moved to the office area.
The existing basement had a nice fireplace that the homeowner wanted to keep.

The new basement was finished while retaining the old fireplace. The existing support posts and plumbing drains were incorporated into a large center column.

The new basement included ample space for playing pool!
A new office area was built into the new basement.
A new bathroom, along with a mud room, were also designed into the basement.
