RE: Our Kitchen Addition

We want to commend you and your construction crew for their craftsmanship, professionalism, courtesy, and the personal concern they showed for us while a portion of our home was under construction. Adding twelve feet onto our kitchen involved us completely moving out of our kitchen for a short period of time, but the care that was taken to protect the rest of the house during the cold months of Jan., Feb., and March was excellent.

The in depth planning of the project let us know exactly what to expect and what the finished product would be. Aaron and Eric are very knowledgeable and they made suggestions for solving issues in order to form the plan around our expectations. Eric’s follow-up made sure that all concerns were addressed.

Tom’s craftsmanship and coordinating skills were the keys to the excellent finished product. His work is of the highest quality and if something didn’t look quite right, he corrected it. Tom always anticipated what needed to be done and made sure it was completed in a timely manner to keep the project moving forward. He was very conscientious about involving us in each phase as the work progressed, and kept us informed about daily work plans. Tom is a talented craftsman and he was a pleasure to work with.

Scott’s and Nick’s work on matching the existing cabinets (12 yrs. Old) was quite amazing. Scott’s mixture of stain worked perfectly and Nick’s touch up work on older visible inside shelves added a lot to the finished appearance of the cabinets. Scott matched the old sheetrock to the new so well that there is no indication that a seam exists^ it looks completely original.

The subcontractors also were very professional and were very good to work with. Tim Bunce with S.T.E.L. Electric and Larry Haney with Rushmore Plumbing did excellent work and always made themselves available when needed. Derksen Floors employees matched the hardwood floors perfectly. Robert Munyan and son did a great job on the dirt work and on the clean-up, so that returning the yard to original was not difficult.

Thank you, Rick, and the rest of your crew, for a job well done. We would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone and we are willing to show off our kitchen to anyone who would like to see a sample of All Star’s work!

RE: Our New Home

Dear Terry and Rick:

Enclosed is an invitation to a barbecue here in Pine Haven on the 19^th of June. We hope this will work with the schedules there so that you can all come.

For us, it will be an opportunity to thank everyone in person for their role in helping this house become the home it is.

For you, you need to hear that this place has your stamp all over it. Cole and Crew did an outstanding job all the way around. Never once, did we feel that things were handled without close attention to detail... and extra effort to make sure things were "right". Cole spent a lot of time making sure that happened and it shows.

Cole, Joe, Chad, Darron all worked in tandem to follow through and keep things rolling the way they were supposed to. They were a good team here and we had fun, which is saying a lot. We teased them that we were around so much, they'd be thinking of us as the "homeowners from hell"... but never once did we feel like we were in the way or interfering with the process. That's professionalism.

The crew worked safely and kept up a good pace at the same time. Safety and good workmanship go hand in hand and we saw that throughout the project. We both were impressed with the crew's ability to be flexible... if weather didn't permit work on the roof, they worked on another project until it was safe to do so.

Cole went out of his way to make sure Paul was kept informed of any developments. That is courteous and it is just plain thoughtfulness. Paul appreciated that Cole was prompt and ready with information or suggestions as the need arose. That proved to be a pretty good thing at times when we were tired and out of ideas.

Todd and Jamie both worked hard to keep the process running smoothly behind the scenes. Todd kept us up to date on budget...which is no small thing. He, Jamie, Cole, and Paul were able to discuss and arrange changes without hassle and that was worth it's weight in gold at times. Just knowing that it would be "taken care of" was real comfort. Jamie managed to get kitchen cabinets, appliances, countertops, vanities, etc. to all fall into place smoothly. That, too, was a pretty great thing to happen. I know, that's what they do...but they do it so very well!

Both of us felt that a phone call to your office would always provide answers. Michelle was always friendly and helpful and made sure messages were received or sent promptly. She expressed genuine interest in the project...and that is a special extra.

Both of you also helped us to feel that our project was important. The good work of Todd, Jamie, Cole and the Crew, Michelle...all are a reflection of good input from you as leaders. There wouldn't be the desire to excel unless there was incentive to do so from those who can lead well...the right work ethic is present, communicated to, understood and accepted by those who do the work.

We were impressed with all we saw and experienced with All Star... We will recommend you to others without reserve. Neighbors here watched our project and commented about the speed and attention to detail and consistency of the workmanship the crew exhibited daily. It was pretty nice to hear...but not a surprise.

We sincerely wanted you to know all this... When you come for the barbecue, we'll have a fun day and just relax and enjoy. This is the house for that...much of the credit goes to you!

RE: Bathroom Renovation -- Emil & Doris

To Everyone Concerned:

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my deepest gratitude to everyone who took part in our recent bathroom renovation - making it handicapped accessible. Steve Hughes was recommended by the plumber we have used in the past and he recommended All Star Construction.

Todd Wirth met with my daughter and me and presented the plan to convert a full small bath and a half-bath into one. Upon accepting the plan, he brought Jamie, Joe, and Jim to discuss the work, which began immediately.

Everyone involved with the work were not only professional, but courteous and kind throughout the renovation. I'm sure I am missing some names, but I know Steve, his son Tim, and Brian from Hughes Plumbing were involved in this effort, along with Joe, Jim, Jamie, and Scott from All Star Construction, and an electrical subcontractor.

The work was actually scheduled to be completed the week of May 4^th. Joe was working on Wednesday, April 28^th, and we told him that my husband was coming home on the Friday, April 30^th. I am sure he saw the concerned look on our faces. My daughter talked to Rick at All Star, who then talked to Joe. With coordination from both companies, the impossible was done - the bathroom was completed by 6:00 pm on Friday.

I would like to extend my personal thanks to Joe, who returned on Monday to meet with the city inspector, and then indicated if we would buy the towel racks, toilet paper holder, etc., he would return to put them up. He is indeed an asset to All Star.

Both my husband and I have recommeded, and would highly recommend in the future, All Star Construction and Hughes Plumbing. Please extend a thank you to everyone involved with this project.
